Former ‘CSI: Miami’ And ‘My Sister’s Keeper’ Star Dies At 35

Actor Evan Ellingson is best known for the roles he played in Hollywood. On TV, he had a recurring role as Kyle Harmon on the TV series “CSI: Miami.” He also played opposite Cameron Diaz as her son in the movie “My Sister’s Keeper.”

Ellingson seemed to be a rising star in Hollywood in his teens and early 20s, but his last acting credit was in 2010 for “CSI: Miami.” Since then, according to Ellingson’s dad, who spoke to TMZ, the former star has struggled with drug use.

Now, at the age of 35 years old, Ellingson is dead. TMZ was the first to break the news, reporting that he was staying at a sober-living home at the time of his death. His body was found in his bedroom on Sunday, November 5, 2023. At this time, police do not suspect foul play, but a cause of death has yet to be determined.

According to his father, his family was shocked to find out that their son had died. They thought he had been doing better lately as far as not using drugs. No word if there were drugs or alcohol in Ellingson’s body at the time of his death.

According to his IMDB biography, Ellingson got his start in Hollywood when he was at a skate park. The brand Vans asked him to skate for their Vans PeeWee Team, and they also asked him to act in a commercial for the company. From there, he acted in several short films before landing guest star roles on numerous TV shows and small parts in movies. His credits include “General Hospital,” “Titus,” “Mad TV,” “Complete Savages,” “24,” “Letters from Iwo Jima,” and of course “My Sister’s Keeper” and “CSI: Miami.”
